alt->printscreen
then open MSPAINT and press edit->paste.
then save->as
and good to go.
But as for your specific problem: I suggest setting your advanced settings to tcp/udp all ports, and just don't run lots of other pgborams while gaming (sounds like you have the port wrong).
Be sure to buy a Killer NIC too!

| I know this post is old, but i was reading through this forum and I wanted to ask a question. Not knowing his specs and seeing he has a low fps, why not recommend a new video card (after getting his specs). What seems to be happening is people WANT to play games on their computer, WOW, BF2 whatever. Problem is, theyre using an almight D#LL that running that hot to trot INTEL onboard graphics. The true killer of gaming is right there. I blame it on intel, but the blame can be pointed anywhere but it comes down to lack of knowledge. Just like when people buy cell phones, most are happy with whatever is free or cheap, the same goes to pc purchases. This buying strategy works for most people since they mostly myspace, email or ebay on their pc. But for those who want to game now have a basic machine that cant handle pretty much all of todays games. Its like bringing a Geo Metro to the drag strip against a drag car. So even though they got a great price on their pc, it really is good for typing and surfing. When they go to try WoW they find out that their computer cant game at all so out they go to pick up one of the new consoles. Maybe they couldve bought a new video card but most people are afraid of computers. Now theres one less pc gamer. Im sorry this is longwinded to respond to this old post. I like the idea of the KillerNic a lot and im sure for that extra edge on a high end system its great and i understand the plugging because you do contribute a lot of info to this site and its posters. For the best bang for his buck in his case though, wouldnt you think a video card would be a better solution then your NIC? Right away after reading his post, thats the first thing i would ask about. At least get him to a level playing field with his hardware before getting the coup de grace. Now i have always built my pc, a luxury that some dont have. Right now Im running a 6 month old system with a dual core, mid-high end video and 2gb ram. I was complaining of laggy games, I would totally see you telling me to pick up a killerNIC. Sorry if I came across negative, im just looking at that post wondering about the rest of his problem that wouldnt be solved with just a NIC card. Im a believer in reducing lag for games and what your product provides but there are other parts to lag, especially that are on the client end that need to be addressed also. Thanks for reading. Merlin, Welcome to ELN!!!
I hope you stay here a long long time, and visit us often, because YOU HAVE the passion that I do for online gaming, and Lag.
I agree that Integrated Video is one of the many scourges of PC Gaming. It's changing for the better, but those integrated video solutions are bad bad news in general.
I disagree that my recommendation of a KillerNIC was misplaced. I don't know Versus system specs, and I don't really ask... but I DO KNOW that a KillerNIC will make any system faster in both Client and Network Lag, and that if they upgrade Later, their KillerNIC will be able to move with them.
One option that might satisy us both is an Online Gaming PC: a PC designed from the bottoms up to be able to run online games smooth as butter (and yes, they come standard with a Killer NIC)

Let's keep the debate and the Fight against Lag, ROlllING!

| How about if you could lend me a killer nic? Id love to give it a try. I do believe that the killer nic does what you say, but how much improvements would one see even if they had a POS video card? Usually in most systems they only slots open are pci so upgrading to a newer video card is not going to happen. It all has to happen when the person buys a new pc. Plus the offerings from companies like dell have to be a little more geared to helping the pc gaming cause. Kill the onboard video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOWN WITH LAG!!! merlin

Not a problem at all.
If you order Killer NIC from the Killer Store, there is a 30-day guarantee.

Done!

NewEgg, I think, has similar deals.

| LOL>....hold im still getting my chuckle. ok. I may eventually look into trying it out. Right now though....gotta save for a wedding, so you know how that is!?!?! No new toys. I know this probably isnt for this forum, and it looks like we are the only ones posting how has the Killer NIC done? Like i said in my previous posts, the technology is there, it just comes down to educating the consumer and trying to veer them away from whatever is free/cheap because whatever is offered is usually either yesterdays news or something that wont help them. Maybe a lite version of the killer nic minus the usb port. From an honest perspective, 250 is high for a NIC card. Im sure you hear this all the time. I can understand where you're coming from. I used to mess with my jetta, and for $600 i could chip the engine (with the factory turbo) and gain 40 hp. A proven 40 hp at the crank. You just cant beat that power to price ratio. I think that the Killer Nic just isnt appreciated enough yet. The console gamers are the ones who want the easy fix..put a game in done. PC gaming offers so much more fast paced action and mods for games you could play a game for years. I do enjoy the grounded back and forth posts with the head of a corporation that does have the gamers interests in mind though. Thanks for posting, i thought these would be unread. Merlin
