Howdy,
I've been visiting the forums off and on for the last few weeks and, while some of the technical stuff has been over my head, I've personally been a little disappointed in the behavior of some of my fellow forum members/guests. Some of this seems to stem from suspicions, whether valid or not, that the KillerNIC is just a gimic. Putting aside the issues of finance, developments, etc and how they impact the cost, (which really aren't in the domain of public knowlege) I'd like to see more discussion regarding how the card has impacted performance in real world settings or 3rd party tests.
Therefore, I suggest that this forum provide an area, either under this heading or otherwise, that will give voice (and, of course links) to 3rd party reviewers. These reviewers should both have access to the hardware AND have the capacity to make worthwhile explorations of its benefits and limitations.
Currently, I'm under the impression that, at this point in the birthing of a new product, many of the companies and individuals that have the ability to write a worthwhile, independent review have not had an opportunity to work with the product. I'm willing to be patient and wait for these reviews and see no fault in the fact that this process takes time.
I'm not saying that any of the discussions here should stop until the reviews are available. Some of the discussions here have been very interesting and have laid to rest, or at least explored, some of the mechanics of lag and how KillerNIC will be benefitial. However, for those of that are skeptical of the product and, therefore, skeptical of the replies given by those that have some relation to the makers/developers of KillerNIC, I see no other way to answer such skepticism then to look at 3rd party reviews for a more objective take on KillerNIC. Until those are available we'll really just be running around in circles...

Not at all Likagod, good post.
3rd Party reviews will happen... and soon!
As for 3rd party reviewers posting here.. there is nothing stopping them from doing so, and I would encourage it (although, of course, I can't make them! )

| Hi: Im new here at this forum. My brother showed me an advertisement on line and laughed. He said it was a waste of time and money. I'd like to show my big brother for once that something might be excellent even if he doesnt think so. Do you have any results yet going head to head,so to speak, with a motherboard ethernet???? I hate getting beaten on CS:S because I lagged out........ If you can prove this to me, I'd buy one just to whoop my brother and laugh at his poor old laggy computer.

We are on the list to get a review sample and I'll be sure to add the link to LegitReviews.com when our review is published on the Killer NIC.

Glad you like the site. We were told by Killer NIC's marketing department cards would ship this month, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Nothing here yet!
