Many people do not think big foots new NIC would do much to get rid of lag. So i have an idea. You should have 20 testers and then you send them free NIC and they trie them out and see if they work. And to get the word out if they do or do not work you could get like newspaper reporters to trie them and other gaming pro's? ill be happy to be a tester
what do you think?

Great idea!
We've already got all those plans in the works.
Believe me, when people start playing with Killer, they will know the difference!
Thanks,
Tytus

Tytus,
LOL... it might seem a little "needy" but I'd be willing to help out too!
I like free stuff...
But, more than that, I think if the technology works the best way to spred it is through actual word of mouth between gamers. Beleive me, if it works and reduces lag AND the frustration that goes along with it, the WOW community would eat this thing up!

Sorry guys,
We have all the beta testers we need at the moment
And a whole long list of news/reviews sites that want to get their hands on this!
My hardest challenge is to make sure the reviewers understand what LAG is, and what causes it... because most people think it's only about the network (and a lot of Lag is)... but as we at ELN know, it's also Client and Server that can cause Lag!

Tytus,
I hear ya... I had a techie friend of my basically state that this card, or the concept behind it, is crap because you guys are trying to make the time it takes to go across from one network to another faster... which he argues is impossible. He didn't, or at lease wouldn't, take into consideration a broader understanding of what caused lag...
I guess what it boils down to is that you guys are trying to change, or at least broaden, the definition (concept) of lag.
This raises two issues with skeptics:
First, if you are redefining 'lag' then are you actually dealing with the common problem which is usually defined as 'lag' or something else.
Second, the concept of lag has an assumption ingrained within it which claims that lag 'necessary' evil of online gaming. Therefore, any claims to do away with this are fundemenally assinine.
So, I don't envy your position... I guess you'll just have to allow people access to the technology to show that it works and that it does have an impact, preferably a noticable one, upon what most people consider lag...
I'll be looking forward to the results of 3rd party evaluations...
Still I'd like to see the technology for myself but, given the skepticism of other techies, I'm not willing to by the product until your claims are verified, and I REALLY hope that they are!
