| Tytus, Please understand that I have no disrespect for you, or the Killer product. I have been long searching for something that has such claims. Before this weekend, I had a conversation with someone on how there doesn't seem to be a product that can zone in on the real problem with online gaming, and that happens to be lag and latency. But without understanding how your product works, I feel somewhat the skeptic. I am not saying that it doesn't do what it reports, but I see a lot of "this product is exactly what you need to round your system out" type comments, or "this will take care of what ails your system", and without fully explaining how this product will benefit the gamer. It is one thing to show features and benefits, but it is another to show data comparisons, and hopefully not synthetic, between your product and say a common nic integrated into X, Y, and Z motherboards. Lastly, I am not only a noob, but I play one on tv too, so please forgive me for asking about these: FNA? This sounds like you can code some sort of proprietary compression. As long as the game hosting servers/realms use this compression in their games, and you use the client version, you can see improved performance. Game First? Sounds like QoS, of which I can control on my router. If I have it on my router, do I have to disable it in order for GFirst to work? Ping Throttle? This sounds like you can control your latency. Being able to control your latency seems like something that can be exploited in online games. Ghosting comes to mind, and in pvp, I also know the effects of people that force latency/link-deaths. It is wrong, it is evil, and I thought that I read that your focus is on getting the best pings... not making it worse. MaxFPS? How much load is taken off of the system? When you compare your product against the integrated nic, it would be a wonder to see real world effects of something like gaming in Molten Core in WoW. While my graphics are bogging down, while my cpu is maxing out because of Ventrilo and the game, will I only get a 2% offload, or 15 to 20%? Last-lastly, when a particular hop that you have no control over keeps you latent and lag heavy while gaming, how can you bypass those nasty nocs? I can play Everquest, and get GREAT pings and no lag with my rig, but I can log into WoW, and on a brand new low population server and get horrible lag. I can log into a high population server and get great ping times with no lag or latency. These things seem to be out of the control of a nic, and I for one will stand atop my home and proclaim this product as what saves my lag ravished connections. Tytus, is this that product? If so, what does all of this mean, and how can I honestly compare it to what is already integrated in my system so I can not only feel good about my purchase, but likely end up hawking your product. I would hate to see you guys pump up this product like PhysX PPU, but only to find out that it is just a bunch of hype. Got a minute? Stop by and help me/us better understand the product. If you have to wait until it goes on sale, then so be it. I've got big lungs, and have no problem holding my breath.
Why is it that I can convince you that there are a billion stars in the sky, but if I tell you "Wet Paint!", you have to touch it to see if I'm telling the truth?

I will try to answer your questions. Please understand, not everything has been announced, so we can only say so much right now. (I know, anti****tion kills!!! ) Here's what I can say
FNA? This sounds like you can code some sort of proprietary compression. As long as the game hosting servers/realms use this compression in their games, and you use the client version, you can see improved performance.
It's way better than that. FNA will let ANYONE write ANYTHING they want... to run on our NPU. It's easy to do, and can do amazing things! I man, full on VOIP processing, full on Firewall, possibly Peer-to-peer,... gaming utilities, game stats, game tweaks, network tweaks, icmp, routing, geesh, the list goes on.
Sure security, and compression are possible too... but not as likely as some of the others I've listed.
Game First? Sounds like QoS, of which I can control on my router. If I have it on my router, do I have to disable it in order for GFirst to work?
No, it works GREAT together!!!! You'll have a SUPER advantage with that setup!
Seriously, we give a priority to packets that may arrive at your system at the same time (like if you were running a torrent, while running a game too). Your game gets the priority.
This feature is intended to be used for people with TOO low pings.. (as often happens to me when I play with the Killer NIC, on my rockin broadband. It is not an exploit, because we actually lower your ping in a very fair way, that is not a hack. We do it down in the NIC.
If a game has a hole, and doesnt' work well with high-pingers: they usually put a min-ping in (like 100ms)... or whatever.
So no worries my friend! You dont HAVE to use this feature!
The results have not yet been published, but we will be releasing some metrics soon! Believe me, you will be astounded how GOOD some games are and how BAD others are at wriitng network code... and how GREAT Killer helps them all.
We don't fix the world, my friend! We hope to someday help more and more. We're talking about improving things, not ending all Lag, just yet! (I wish!!!!)
We'll help you with how to test, how to measure, and how to make sure you are getting better ping and less Lag. You will not be dissapointed, I hope.
We are not ending Lag. We are taking bites out of it! Keep up your passion, you and me working together WILL someday put an end to Lag!
HOPE This helps!!!! I'm so excited about all this!!!

Tytus,
Thanks for stopping by and posting responses. I know that the product has not been released, and that you can only offer so much information. I am sure that you know that based on the claims, and the hype, that the card will be tested by various sites. The site I hope that publishes a test is hardocp.com - Not a whole lot of BS from thsoe guys, and I do prefer their style of reporting either way.
Still... sometimes your most hardcore fans can be your biggest critic. Not that the former is me, but the latter sure will be... as I walk the path to becoming the former.
Thanks again Anti-Lag Master!, and expect to see my noobishness again.
