| K2 Networks has found a solution for their enormous lag in Warrock. They have eliminated peoples ability for international play. If you live more than 2000 miles from any of their servers, you can't play. Since they claim they do not hold the licenses from Dream Execution for the areas eliminated from game-play, I have tried to contact both Dream Execution, and K2 for information about purchasing said licenses with little to no results. My emails go unanswered, phone calls are not returned. I thought the idea behind game development was to get people to play it. Eliminating entire continents from gameplay, specifically Austrailia and the Middle East, does not seem to be the way to go about getting people to want to buy your software. This is a decision that was implemented on the verge of their Commercial Release. It seems to have worked for them, though. Their servers are running 97% of the game rooms with pings in the "green". but players in the US are limited to only 2 servers (NY east and CA west), the U.K. has 1(London), Turkey has 1(Turkey), South America has 1(Brazil) but Venezuela can't play on it). Now lets talk Canada. They on the other hand can play on the U.S. servers AND the London AND the S. American. I just don't get it. I was ready, money in hand, eagerly awaiting the Commercial Release of Warrock. I miss my game time, but will never give a penny to company that thinks it's ok to just cut people off like that. I played that game EVERY day with friends I made from the world over. This decision on their part broke up numerous Clans as well. I have not been back to their feedback forum since All who enquired about the decision were treated rudely by forum Admins/Mods. They knew the decision was going to cause an uproar and Admins and Mods needed to conduct themselves in a business-like manner no matter how many times they answer the same question in numerous posts. The easiest solution would have been to make a public announcement and post the thread web address as the reply to the repeated question not rudeness and insults. So, Here's BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, and Here's a HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS for K2 Networks and their Forum Staff for both the decision and lack of decorum. And here's to keeping my money in my pocket.
There's always time for Fraggin' with Friends.

that's kind of a bummer... I know some of the guys at K2, I'll see what is the scoop, and if there is anything I can do, i'll let you know.
At a minimum, "advanced" players should be allowed to play together internationally.

really isnt anything k2 can do
Dream Execution makes the game, they are based in Korea
they have a defined release model for the game that requires server hosts to purchase licenses for "regions" of the world before they are allowed to offer service
K2 originally had an "open beta" license that allowed them to test internationally. but when the game launched for "retail" instead of beta, K2 was legally only allowed to keep servers open for parts of the world where they hold the server license
K2 currentlys the license for north america, most of europe and a few other specific locations like India
but thats it, K2 is only the server host for those areas, they cannot legally go around dream execution and just open servers wherever they want to
Dream Execution decides who they will license their product to. DE currently sells the license to 4 companys around the world:
Nexon: license for korea
Tecmo: license for japan
Amped Network: license for philipines
K2 Network: license for north america, europe, india
the server hosts have nothing to do with one another besides buying the game license from the same place that allows them to host the game
if you wanted servers open in other places you would need to contact Dream Execution directly. but they are expensive and will not sell the license for one server at a time, unless you are a hosting company that plans to set up enough servers to handle an entire region of the world, they will not even respond to you (they define what they consider a region, not less than one country and/or continent)
their website is here:
http://www.dreamexe.co.kr/english/index_eng.asp
contact info is here:
http://www.dreamexe.co.kr/english/ContactUs/contactus_mail_eng.asp
K2 is simply not large enough to buy the license for more parts of the world from dream execution, and no other companys (besides those 4) have stepped up to buy more licenses for regions not currently covered with a server
Dream Execution does not host any servers themselves and if a company like K2 tried to simply bypass them and open servers to more parts of the world without a license, they would be subject to legal repurcusions, financial penaltys and would at the very least have to shut down the game in the parts of the world they currently host
