Killer helps with that too!

http://www.killernic.com

It comes with 64MB DDR on the card and perfoms network offloading function.

However, I do Recommend 1GB of ram, it can be a serious bottleneck in system performance.

I have 2GB of ram and I still lag

Of course memory helps with lag that is caused by your computer, but most lag for me is because of connections, I am using a wireless connection to a home router which then connects to the internet. But and I am going to get a cable put through to the router instead as soon as possible, I did some tests and the earthed computer had twice the download speed then mine, 4mbps compared to 2mbps (this is broadband lol) Anyway we are going to upgrade our cable to 30 mbps and upgrade modem so with that plus the cable instead of wireless, should really relieve alot of my lag.  If I still get lag after that I'm going to blame it on my ISP or the servers

I'm willing to bet that Killer will help too.

one of the cool features of Killer is bypassing windows, which itself adds lag...

and when you are having 'internet jitter problems' Killer smooths the effects and gives the game a smoother feel (by not making your FPS suffer when you internet is going to crap.
