I cant believe u guys talk about lag :S
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT LAG IS!!!
HAVE YOU PLAYED ON WIRELESS 128/128kbps ??? Yes that is lag!
I admire you and ur net speeds, cuz in my country stupid politics and marketing monopoly make isp suck so hard i cant get normal net connection :S
In the whole world the wireless sux the most, and in my country its the best -.-
Now I get so sick looking at you nabz posting about lag, when u make it u-self!!
yes... all the things u download, running any other process then the one u are on, makes u lag!
We are not to blame as much as u can blame isp services, and game makers.
They make L in LAG word.
Now I cant believe that s**t about lan games lag :S now rly .... I saw some places where LAN network can lag, but its a puny problem ~~
Now when I look at all the things u need to buy, and how much money you spent on things to make smooth gaming online, I wanna throw up...
I just make a lan between my 2 comps, in same room and play vs my bro with latency = 0 Now thats gaming.
I wont say I hope to have better global networks in future.. I know that there will be, cuz I'll be part of it**. Educated people who "REALY" care about this, will do something about it. Others will just look for a way to take the last coin from ur pocket.

You want to talk about lag? Well...i've been dealing with the worst lag imaginable for over four years now, with no end in sight. As an experienced fps gamer it is the only thing holding me back from blowing away the competition. Lag is the single biggest problem in online gaming today without exception. It can make very good players such as myself look very bad. I don't lag most of the time, i lag all the time! Every minute of every round of any game i've played over the last 4+ years has been affected by severe lag. It doesn't matter what server i play on, what game it is, what time of day or how many people are on the server, to me the lag is absolutely dreadful. I've tried to combat the problem ever since it began by upgrading my pc, switching isp's several times and even trying the Killer NIC...yes thats right. But none of these things improved my gaming performance at all. I hate having to live with lag, but its become evident that this is a constant handicap that is going to hang around with me and many others for a long time. I doubt it will ever be a thing of the past, and even if somewhere down the line lag becomes history, it won't happen soon enough for me. I wish that online gaming would be equal for all, but that is far from the truth. Some players will always have an advantage simply because they have smooth and fast connections and others like me will be at a huge disadvantage due to lag. I think game developers should focus more on providing better netcode than on graphics. We don't need so much eye candy. I'd rather have a smooth online experience with moderate graphics than a game thats visually stunning but choppy as hell.

TRUE! Why we need better graphics?? Its the game we play, no 3D models. I agree with you 100%

I'm sorry that Lag is your curse, I know the feeling!
You mentioned you tried the Killer NIC, and it didn't help you much.... Bummer, because it usually DOES help A LOT.
Fortunately if you are tracking this site, you have heard about LLR2 Technology (which makes game servers run faster, and works with the Killer NIC too)
