| Im currently playing Star Wars Galaxies (been playing since launch). My guild is usually in fights of 16. 8 vs 8 or sometimes more. Every guild of the aposing faction have noticed that when ever we encounter a specific guild (lets call them XYZ guild), we have major lag. Client/Server lag i dont know. But almost every time garantee's their victory. They have been reported several times but the dev's have nothing for us. Is there a known hack or is there something i can do to crack this mystery?

LagMeter 2.0 may very well help you solve this! Make sure nothing but the game + LagMeter 2.0 is running on your system, then when you engage with them, you'll know if the lag is coming from the Server, the Client, or the Network.

If you get an unusual Network Spike while fighting them, I would suspect some foul play is possible... (e.g. they might be ping flooding you, or flooding you some other network traffic).
If you get an unusual Server Lag Spike, they may be exploiting something in the game that slows the server while the action is going on.. (but note: if they are, it hurts them the same as you)
If it is client lag. TIME TO UPGRADE! A Killer NIC is what you need (presuming you've got a 7800+ NVIDIA or 1800+ ATI). and 2GB of Ram... then a Killer will make all the difference:

| Nice nice! this is the best info i found yet. There is but one talk about a possible exploit they may be doing to create lag. In SWG we have an item called Shield Generator. It adds an addition to your armor stats. Its equiped like a belt. One has the option to either equip a belt or the Generator. Rumor has it if you run a macro that swaps back and forth between the generator and a belt, if an aponent fires on you, he will experience lag. If this is was true, could you tell me what exactly is happening at a program level? or would you need more info?

Really need the LagMeter data to be able to know more.
At a programming level though, if that is the exploit, then they would be inducing 'server lag'.
This is because the server is being 'taxed' by having to process the 'equip' and 'unequip' messages over and over, and might miss the 'i shot you' messages (or 'lag' in processing them). LagMeter would show a red bar on the chart!
Hope this helps.
