HOW LLR2 WILL REDUCE LAG: PART 1 (LESS LAG FOR EVERYONE!)

I
am working on a White Paper to explain all that is LLR2, but I thought I'd proactively address some questions here.  A lot of folks are trying to understand how the LLR2 Technology will help reduce Lag.  There are actually MANY ways this happens, and I'll be addressing each one here.  This first part explains, purely, that LLR2 (even in pure software mode, without the Killer NIC or the new GSA) delivers less Lag to EVERYONE!  Yes, the first technology, that will reduce Lag, and it will Do so even WITHOUT having a Killer!!!  Now, of course, people who own a Killer NIC will get an even BIGGER advantage in games with LLR2, but thats another Blog entry for later.... for now, let's talk about what LLR2 does for 'everyone'!

First, it's important to note, by everyone we mean: 1.) Gamers.  2.) Game Companies. and 3.) ISPs, server hosting companies, and more....

For Gamers:
LLR2 will make your game more resilient to 'internet latency' and 'packet loss', even if you don't have a Killer.  This is mainly due to it's inherent design for games.  LLR2 can detect and recover from packet loss faster, and with less overhead.  It can also allow gamers to add security to their games easier (preventing cheating).... that's a lot of benefit, and all due to the fact that LLR2 uses its own custom designed network protocol.

For Game Companies:
If they use LLR2, they will save time, money, effort, and get a smoother playing game.  The server will see the same benefits that gamers do: more relience to 'internet latency' and 'packet loss', even if they don't have a GSA... the reasons are the same.  They are saving time because LLR2 has a very easy to learn and use SDK/API that lets developers focus on the game and not the networking.

For ISPs, server hosting companies and more:
LLR2 uses LESS BANDWIDTH than almost any other protocol.  For those that know what this means, LLR2 is a NACK based protocol that truly reduces bandwidth usage.  It does this with very small header sizes... also reducing bandwidth.

So, what does all this mean?  Less Lag for you!!!!  Whoever you are.

More coming.
