WarRock is a new FPS game by
K2 Networks. K2 Networks cares about Lag in a way few, if any, companies ever have. They care about all 3 types of lag: PC Lag, Network Lag, and Server Lag. They have made huge innovations in all three areas, and have PROVEN that they care about Lag. In short, they are the first game to ever declair their game
LLR Ready (Lag & Latency Reduction, Ready). Why? Because WarRock plays SMOOTH as butter when played on a system powered by
LLR Technology. So much so, that
the Killer NIC is a recommended
system requirement for playing WarRock. Other forum members have already done
benchmarks for the Killer NIC and WarRock, and yes, it makes a huge difference.
Obviously PC Lag and Network Lag are helped by WarRock making their game LLR Ready (e.g. ready for huge improvements in FPS and PING when used in systems powered by LLR). What else is this innovative company doing?
First, they have built in a hugely innovative matchmaking system, it connects people to other countries to play each other, it tells you how busy and laggy a particular matchmaking world is, and how it is relative to you. In short, it does great matchmaking, so you are not stuck playing with laggy gamers.
Second, their innovative peer-to-peer hosting system reduces Server Lag a lot, by making the Server less of an integral part of the processing done in the game. This kind of system leads to smoother gameplay for all.
Finally, I will just say at a personal level, that playing WarRock is just damn fun.
Rock on WarRock, and thanks for caring about Lag, and innovating.
Of course, thanks also for believing in LLR Technology and the Killer NIC!
