ast weekend (8/25-8/27), I (Tytus) and the Killer Girls (
pics HERE) got on stage and introduced
the Killer NIC to the world for the first time! The response was overwhelming: from intense curiosity to all out fan-boy adoration! 12 skilled gamers who won over and over in the LanFest tournament, were given the very first Killer NICs ever designed. And (
as seen here in our Forums) are super excited with what Killer can do for them. Thousands of gamers got to meet me, grill me with questions (for which our partner NewEgg.com awarded 2 gamer LCD flat-panel displays), and enjoy the Killer Girls (who also happen to be honest and true gamers)! And I would not be Tytus, hater of all things Lag, without telling people about EndLagNow and LagMeter.... here is a quick timeline of the weekend.
(check out the video of my speach where I also talk about EndLagNow.org Link at the top of the page)Friday 8/25 am: (EARLY!) Check-in in Austin... explain to the airline that the Killer NIC is not a weapon... (let them open every box, and still had to check them).. get on plane...
Friday 8/25: Arrive in San Jose, drive to San Francisco to drop off a bunch of Killer NICs for review (and I got to see the Maximum PC Labs!!! Very cool!!!). Drive back to San Jose, and setup the Killer NIC booth...
Saturday 8/26 am: Tytus mans the Killer booth... answers questions about Killer... then is found wandering around and playing Battlefield 2142 (which was previewed by EA at the show).
Satruday 8/26 pm: Killer Girls arrive... Tytus seen escorting the ladies all around the show, meeting gamers, taking pictures, answering quesitons about Lag and Killer. Killer Girls ROCK! Tytus found sitting in the NewEgg/Killer booth chatting with the Killer girls about the games they are playing (one of them is a WOW NUT!)
Saturday 8/26 pm: Tytus on stage with Killer girls, crowd the largest of the day... crowd REALLY into Killer: and many of the gamers possibly in love the the Killer Girls.
Sunday 8/27 am: Tytus and Killer girls do a bunch of giveaways with NewEgg. Huge crowd forms while Tytus awards a Gigabyte Motherboard and another LCD Gamer Flatpanel for the best quesiton about Killer (the winners question was: why did you use Linux on the card: answer FNA!!! F N A !!!!
