MAKING GAMES IS EASY!!!

T
o make a game all you have to do is:

have a good idea.
hire some programmers.
ship it!

NOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, making a game is almost as hard as making a new Intel Micro-chip!  (as I've done many times, in my prior career).

Why?  It takes a massive coordinated effort: artists, writers, producers, managers, programmers, designers, pr, marketing, finance, business development... to name a few

The numbers of people and quality of talent designing a modern MMO can easily take the coordinated efforts of 150+ people (just like a massive microprocessor design).

Why am I telling you this: Lag is a serious problem to you and me, but game developers are only recently coming to an awareness that people care...  and people do care!

So, for as much effort as goes into games: programming, art, design, writing, GAMEPLAY, and 'making it all work'...  it is my hope that this site, and the efforts of my own company will make it IMPORTANT and EASY for game developers to fight Lag.

Games with less Lag ARE on the horizon, lets' keep demanding them!

Did you even read his post?

actualy a game isnt that hard to make these days. A single person with an excelent idea for a game with some 3d drawing experience can do it in a lot less time if you program with darkbasic software. www.thegamecreators.com
